Concretize lessons about Shalom and Achdus by having students affix a puzzle piece each time they, or their peers, work on one of these mitzvos bein adam l’chaveiro. Upon completion, students will discover that they have created a beautiful 48”x48” depiction of the walls of Yerushalayim with the words Tivnei Chomos Yerushalayim written in flames. This activity can be done year round or it can be used in conjunction with lessons about Asara B’Teves, Shiva Asar B’Tamuz or Tisha B’Av. The picture can also be simply used as a poster or shrunken down as a cover page for a unit on Eretz Yisrael. Available with a concise lesson plan as a non-editable PDF, or without the lesson plan as an editable Word file.
