Has anyone set up the whiteboard that runs off the wii remote?
How does using it compare to a smartboard?

An update. we just had a Smartboard installed in my classroom and I am not sure that it is $1000's of dollars better than the Wii Smoothboard setup. Sure it has an easier to use functionality, but I was able to do just about anything with the Wii. If you use a projector in class and do not have a Smartboard, then I highly recommend looking into the Wiiremote Smoothnoard system as a do it yourself alternative to a SB. www.smoothboard.net to download the program and for info how to set it up.

Well what I can say is that for wiimote smoothboard, all you require is just the software (USD30), a wii remote and an ir pen. Just by this, it is clear that Smoothboard is very affordable and it has now turn into a more user-friendly teaching tool by the innovation of annotation feature and autoconnect mode. You can check it out at http://www.smoothboard.net
