Providing Torah perspective Holocaust educational resources and training to schools and yeshivos

The Zechor Yemos Olam mission is to foster the study of the Holocaust from a religious perspective in yeshivas and Day Schools.

Rabbi Sholom Friedmann has assumed the role of Director of the Zechor Yemos Olam Holocaust Training Program, under the guidance of the Vaad Roshei HaYeshivah of Torah Umesorah and under the direction of Rabbi Joseph Elias. He comes to us with a wealth of experience in Holocaust educational studies. Hailing from London, Rabbi Friedmann is an experienced mechanech, certified through the British Board of Education. He has done a fellowship in Holocaust Education through the Imperial War Museum and is the founder of the Ani Maamim organization in London.

  • The Zechor Yemos Olam mission is to foster the study of the Holocaust from a religious perspective in yeshivas and Day Schools.
  • ZYO conducts teacher training Seminars that guide yeshiva/day school faculty in integrating Holocaust studies into their classroom teaching.
  • ZYO works with schools and creates educational resources for Holocaust education.
  • ZYO runs two teacher training seminars a year, and are available to be a resource to teachers.
  • ZYO has created and are updating our junior high and high school curriculums. We also create updated book lists, in order that teachers are aware of the appropriate books that are available.
  • ZYO raises community awareness about the need and methodology to teach the Holocaust within yeshivas and day schools.
